With the help of PreK 2 parent volunteers, students in the Class of 2037 created their own Chihuly-inspired sculpture after learning about artist Dale Chihuly, who revolutionized the studio glass movement in the U.S. With their teachers, they painted on clear cups and bottles, which were then shrunk and formed by teachers with a heat gun to create these interesting shapes. The cups and bottles were mounted on a driftwood piece to create a wondrous 3D sculpture measuring 23 inches tall by 19 inches wide. This project was led by Kari Merritt P '28.

After each student poured their paint, they tipped the canvas, allowing the paint to flow, drip, and blend together. The result is stunning! This project was led by Kari Merritt P '28.
